 Mr Christian Costabel
On April 1st, 2008, Mr Christian Costabel assumed his current position as Senior Vice President and CFO of Siemens Building Technologies China.
Siemens Building Technologies China provides products and services in the area of building security and safety, building automation and total solutions for economical and environmental efficient operation of buildings. The ability to integrate diverse systmes such as communications, energy management, building management, security and remote maintenance build the heart of the success of Siemens Building Technologies in China.
Mr. Costabel joined Siemens in 1988, where he held till 1997 various positions in the field of setting up sales channels for building electro installation products in various countries such as Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic.
In 1997 he joined Siemens Corporate Real Estate in Munich, Germany within the central Finance and Controlling Team.
In 1999 he came to China as the Manager of the Corporate Internal Audit Department and prior to his current assignment he was nominated as the President of Siemens Corporate Real Estate China in 2004 focusing on two key real estate investment projects of Siemens in Beijing and Shanghai.
Besides working for Siemens, Mr. Costabel is the Chair of CoreNet Global in China, a cooperation network of all international and national Corporate Real Estate providers and related service providers, such as real estate agencies, product and solutions partners. In this network he is engaged in the area of sustainable building design from an investors point of view with a focus on the internationally recognized LEED standard by the US Green Building Council.
Mr. Costabel obtained a degree in Business Administration at the Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie, Frankfurt / Germany.
