8. Education and Training

The HKIFM will hold regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events, conferences and seminars for members and the general public to promote and develop skills and markets in FM and related fields. Structured short courses will also be organised with educational institutions with a view to providing a firm base for membership development. In future, specially designed and accredited courses will be established in the universities.

9. Association with Other Professional Bodies

Registered Professional Housing Managers (RPHM)

As a result of liaison between the Institute with the Housing Managers Registration Board (the Board), the Board has agreed to include members of the Institute as RPHMs, subject to the fulfilment of the requirements stated in the Board's application form as well as the following requirements:

  • Submit 3 assessment papers: one should be on Housing Management and a paper on 2 of any of the 3 topics on Legal, Finance and Social Services
  • Attend an Assessment Interview
