The accreditation/ recognition would mainly involve detailed review of the courses/ qualification in terms of the course syllabus, teaching hours, coverage of core competences requirements etc.
The reviews should be carried out by a Course Accreditation Panel appointed by the Council.
The Panel shall consist of two or more members and shall assess if the programme would deliver appropriate academic knowledge meeting the core competences requirements. Below is the list of the core competences coverages:

Where required, site visit and/or interviews with the institution offering the course shall be conducted as one of the accreditation processes.
Upon completion of the review, the Course Accreditation Panel should summarize the assessment results and propose recommendations to the Council for approval of the proposed accreditation.
During the accreditation period, the Education Committee would have close contacts with the programme of the accredited courses for communications and liaison works on the teaching programmes and monitoring of their on-going academic quality. In any case, near the expiry of the accreditation period, the academic institutions are required to provide the latest information about the course, and to report if there are any changes in the programme contents, entrance qualifications, mode of delivery, contact hours or other requirements since the first accreditation, the Education Committee would review and assess the submission and changes, if any, for the eligibility of further accreditation of the course before making recommendation to the Council for consideration.
The above fees shall be subject to changes from time to time determined by the Council. The Council may, whenever they consider there is due cause, waive or reduce the fee amount.
The validity of accreditation is 3 years
